FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We’ve heard it all—because we ask the same questions ourselves. Here’s everything you want to know before your first (or fiftieth) bag of Rosie’s.
INGREDIENTS & SOURCING
What kind of oil do you use?
We use 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef tallow. No deodorizers, additives, or seed oils.
Is the tallow ethically sourced?
Our tallow is sourced from grass-fed cattle raised in farms across the Midwest USA.
Are the potatoes organic?
We source fresh non-GMO potatoes from Idaho and other western states depending on the season. Although not certified organic, our providers are focused on clean, sustainable farming practices.
What kind of salt do you use?
We use Vera® Sea Salt, a premium, microplastic-free salt that’s lab-tested for purity.
HEALTH & DIET COMPATIBILITY
Will this fit my diet?
Absolutely. Rosie’s is keto, paleo, Whole30, gluten-free, and perfect for anyone trying to cut seed oils or eat more cleanly.
How many carbs and fat per serving?
It varies slightly by batch, but we keep it simple: real carbs from potatoes, clean fat from tallow, no sugar.
Is tallow really better than other oils?
Yes. Tallow is a natural, heat-stable fat rich in fat-soluble nutrients. Unlike seed oils, it doesn’t oxidize easily and won’t leave you inflamed or bloated.
TASTE, TEXTURE & EXPERIENCE
What do they taste like?
Think classic kettle chips—crispy, golden, and deeply satisfying, but without the greasy aftertaste or artificial flavors.
Are they overly salty or greasy?
Not at all. We season every batch by hand for balanced flavor and fry at the perfect temperature for a clean, crisp finish.
Do they get soggy from the tallow?
Nope. Rosie’s are kettle-cooked for crunch—and tested for quality in every batch.
What flavors do you offer?
We currently offer Classic Sea Salt, with more flavors on the way.
PRICE & VALUE
Why are Rosie’s more expensive than regular chips?
We make Rosie’s in small batches by hand daily using the highest quality ingredients. We are working on relaxing prices as we grow, quality > quantity is our primary focus and reflects our values of traditional chipmaking above all else.
Is it actually worth it?
Ask our repeat customers. For them, the answer is: absolutely. The flavor, quality, and peace of mind are worth every penny.
How big is each bag?
Each bag is 5 ounces, or around 4 servings. Rosie’s are satiating, filling chips that leave you feeling satisfied and not craving more.
Do you sell sampler packs or offer discounts?
Yes! We offer bundles, subscription savings, and occasional drops via email and social.
BRAND & TRUST
Who makes Rosie’s Chips?
We are a small, family-owned business from Central Pennsylvania - the Potato Chip Capital of the World. Rosie’s is named after Rose “Rosie” Adams, a 102-year-old iconic individual who still lives in Pennsylvania to this day.
Rosie was my family’s caretaker and raised my father, myself, and my two sisters.
Is this really a small-batch company?
Yes. We’re not backed by big food or investors. We make Rosie’s the way snacks used to be made—one batch at a time.
Are there reviews? What do people say?
Thousands of customers rave about the taste, texture, and how Rosie’s makes them feel. You can read real reviews on our product page.
